Going out to MOA for dinner and entertainment tonight with the wife. Not sure where we are eating out yet.

- Today’s loss: 1.0 lbs
- Total weight lost: 9.5 lbs
- Goal Weight: 170 lbs
Breakfast: 2 slices turkey deli meat, handful raspberries, 1 large 16oz cup coffee with cream and equal.
Lunch: One swiss cheese wrap with 2 thick turkey slices, handful of almonds, 1 diet mtn dew, 3 glasses water through the afternoon.
Dinner: Dinner out (TBD), 3 glasses water through the night. One multi-vitamin.
Exercise: TBD, MOA Mall walk

I think I gained 0.5 lbs. It could have been from eating a lot at the statefair, or maybe eating too much caeser salad and not enough protein. I plan to keep an eye on it but at this point I am not too worried (yet). However, I am falling behind in my “Lose 30 in 30 days” plan so I hope to start losing more weight daily again soon.

Planning to go to the MN State fair today with the wife and kids. My plan is to stay away from the pronto-pups/corn-dogs and mini donuts.
I will definitely get a pork chop on a stick, and a Turkey leg early on so I get full and stop any carb frenzy from happening.

Lunch: Statefair Pork chop on a stick, Giant Turkey leg, 1 mtn dew, 3 glasses water through the afternoon.
Dinner: Grilled chicken Caesar salad with cheese, bacon, tomato, 1/4 cup raspberries & blackberries, 3 glasses water through the night. One multi-vitamin. Snacked on handful of pecans at night.
Exercise: 4 hours walking at the MN State fair. Mowed lawn for 1.5 hrs.

Went out to Dino’s Gyros today. Ordered the lamb gyro, and a diet mtn dew. I didn’t eat the pita bread and it was still pretty good.

Monday’s are tough for me as I always want to go out to eat, but I am planning to go out to lunch Tuesday instead.

Dinner: Half burger with A1 and mustard, small caesar salad, small portion of cheese broccoli, handful of raspberries, 3 glasses water through the night. One multi-vitamin.
Exercise: 20 minute walk.

Small weight loss today, but still going in the right direction. I think tomorrow should show some better results (better meaning 1 lb or more). I was still a bit tired from all of that walking last night. It was a pretty good week in losing 7.5 lbs in total. That means I am still slightly ahead of schedule still for the “Lose 30 in 30 days” plan.

Breakfast: scrabled eggs with cheese 1/4 cup raspberries & blackberries, 2 large 16oz cup coffee with cream and equal.
Lunch: About 3-4 Strawberries and couple blueberries, and 2 glasses water through the afternoon.
Dinner: Grilled Chicken strips with shredded cheese and dollup of sour cream, handful of raspberries, 3 glasses water through the night. One multi-vitamin.
Exercise: 20 minute walk. Trimmed and cut down various bushes in my yard for about an hour.

I hit my first weight loss plateau. Knew it was coming but was hoping it would be later next week. It could have been due to eating too much at Outback last night, but I know I did well from a carb stand-point. Tonight I had a late dinner due to all the walking I did. I didn’t get home until 9:30 and was starving so had to eat something.

Breakfast: 2 slice turkey deli meat, 1/4 cup raspberries & blackberries, 1 large 16oz cup coffee with cream and equal.
Lunch: Bacon cheese burger, Caesar salad, and 3 glasses water through the afternoon. Double espresso
Dinner: 10 slices hard salami, 1/4 cup raspberries & blackberries, handful of almonds, 4 glasses water through the night. One multi-vitamin.
Exercise: Walked for 3 hours around Lake Calhoun, 50 minutes brisk walking.

I am planning to go out for dinner tonight as we have a sitter for the kids. We are thinking maybe Outback which will definitely have plenty of low-carb options, but there are some land-mines to watch out for.
I plan to stay away from the complimentary fresh baked bread altogether. I love their Caesar salad but will have to check into the dressing to see how many carbs are in it. I normally get the Victoria’s Center Filet 9oz cut which will be no problem at all for carbs. I will also get the steamed broccoli instead fries. Not bad at all for eating out.

Dinner: Outback Victoria’s Center cut filet 9oz, fresh steamed broccoli, Caeser Salad with dressing on the side so I could control the amount of dressing(carbs). 4 glasses water through the night. One multi-vitamin.

I have been only drinking 1 can of diet soda a day. I used to drink 2 mtn dew’s a day, so cutting sugar out like this can only help shed pounds.

Lunch: One swiss cheese wrap with 2 thick turkey slices (2 cheese slices which were my faux bread). One string cheese stick. 1/4 cup raspberries & blackberries, 1 diet mtn dew, 1 pickle, and 2-3 glasses water.
Dinner: One Beef Kabobs (beef & onions), 1/4 cup raspberries & blackberries. One glass (1 cup) calorie countdown milk, and 3 glasses water. One multi-vitamin.
Exercise: 25 minute walk.

Myth #1: Ketosis is Dangerous
Benign Dietary Ketosis, or BDK, is not the same as Diabetic Ketosis. BDK signifies the burning of fat cells for energy. It is the presence of ketones in the urine and breath. Ketones are the remnants of burnt body fat. BDK is a favorable state when dieting. It is only dangerous if it is not brought on intentionally, and if it occurs in diabetics or anorexics.

Though it is a fact that ketosis can cause a change in breath and body odor, it is not a long-lasting effect.
Myth #3: All that Fat will Give you High Cholesterol!
